About Us Solent Marine Chandlery was started in 1974 by Jim Brown and for over 35 years was based in the old mineral works building in Mumby Road Gosport. Specialising in deck hardware, lighting and marine safety, Solent Marine is now part of Crew Safe Ltd and based in new premises in Whitley Hampshire The Chandlery in Mumby Road Gosport has been taken over by Arthurs Chandlery. Ian and Mike Ripper have been running Arthurs in Forton Road Gosport for many years and the Mumby Road Chandlery now has the benefit of their vast experience and in depth knowledge of the needs of the local sailing community. We wish them luck and hope you will continue to support them in the future. After 35 years it is reassuring to know the chandlery is in safe hands.
